Luna Hut Sea Lanes, Brighton

First time here

1. Book on the venue's Periode page in 30 minute multiples. The venue recommends 60 minutes. A few 15 minute walk-in slots are offered when there's space, and these can't be pre-booked.
2. Opening hours: Monday 7am to 7pm, Tuesday to Thursday 7am to 1pm, Friday and Saturday 7am to 9pm, Sunday 8am to 7pm.
3. Find it at 300 Madeira Drive, BN2 1BX, on the seafront next to Sea Lanes. The nearest station is Brighton, and various buses run from the station to Madeira Drive. There are plenty of bike racks. Pay and Display parking runs along Madeira Drive, but works on the Madeira Terraces mean fewer bays than usual, especially at weekends and events.
4. Bring swimwear (required in the sauna), two towels (one to sit on, one to dry off), flip-flops for the pebbles and a water bottle. Water is supplied.
5. Arrive a few minutes early to change in the cubicles outside the sauna and put your things in the storage units.
6. Use the plunge pools and sea during your booked time. The session fee covers the sauna and plunge pools.

Good to know

• Children: you must be at least 12, and anyone aged 12 to 17 must be with a responsible adult (18+) at all times.
• Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and you get a gift card code for your next booking. There are no cash refunds.
• The venue's own pages disagree twice. The FAQ says "five 1-hour Silent Sessions each week" but lists three (Monday and Thursday 11am to 12pm, Friday 6 to 7pm). It also says there are three changing cubicles, while the private hire page says four covered changing rooms.
• Private hire gives you exclusive use of one sauna, while other people may still use the plunge pools and changing area.
• Memberships (Easy Breezy, Glow Getter, Heat Wave) give 5, 10 or 29 free sessions a month. The prices are behind a Periode login, so they aren't listed here.
• Accessibility isn't published. The venue mentions accessible routes along the seafront east and west of Sea Lanes.
• If you swim at Sea Lanes, members of the pool can use the pool's changing facilities.
