Privacy
In short
No cookies or analytics run unless you accept them. There are no accounts or forms and no advertising trackers. If you accept, we use PostHog (EU servers) to count visits and clicks.

What this site collects
Nothing about you is collected unless you accept analytics. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to fill in, and we don't use advertising or social-media scripts. The search box works in your browser on a small file downloaded from this site; what you type stays in your browser unless you accept analytics (see below).
The site is a static website, so the company that hosts it keeps ordinary server logs (the address of the page requested, the time and your IP address) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.
Analytics and cookies (only if you accept)
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether we may use analytics. Accept and Reject are equal choices. Nothing from the analytics provider is loaded, and nothing is stored for analytics, until you accept. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as Reject and don't show the banner.
PostHog. If you accept, the site loads PostHog's analytics library and sends events to PostHog's EU cloud (eu.i.posthog.com, servers in the European Union). It stores a random identifier in your browser (local storage and a first-party cookie, both starting "ph_") so repeat visits can be counted as the same anonymous visitor. We don't identify you, and we don't create user profiles for anonymous visitors.
What is recorded: the pages you view and when you leave them; the page address and the page you came from; your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which is not kept in the event), browser, device type and screen size; and a few actions: following a Book, website, phone, email or claim link (with the venue and the booking site it goes to), what you type in the search box and how many results it found, which filters you use, opening the map, and opening a "source" note. We do not record form contents (there are none), keystrokes elsewhere, or screen recordings, and we do not use the data for advertising.
Changing your mind: use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to open the choice again. Choosing Reject stops all further analytics and removes the PostHog identifier from your browser. You can also clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. PostHog acts as our processor; its own policy is at posthog.com/privacy.
What it loads from other sites
Open-Meteo. The sea and air temperature on the region page and the sea temperature guide is fetched from Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com and marine-api.open-meteo.com) when the page loads. Your browser contacts them directly, so they see your IP address and the coordinates of the coast, as with any website request.
OpenFreeMap. The interactive map on the region page loads map tiles from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org), built on OpenStreetMap data. Your browser contacts them when you open the map view.
When you follow a link to a venue's own website or booking page, that site's own privacy policy applies.
