What it's like
The Hideaway is a private spa at 197 Preston Road, with a public bar in the same building. You book a suite for your own group rather than sharing with strangers, so it works differently from the social saunas in this guide. It is the sister of the original Hideaway in Shoreham-by-Sea.
There are two suites. Olive opens onto a courtyard and Neroli sits under a sky lantern. Each has a sauna, a private thermal pool and a relaxation area. The sauna's type and temperature aren't published, and neither is the pool temperature. No cold plunge is listed.
The building has been a gathering place since 1893, and the bar is open to the public, serving local wines, craft beer, botanical ferments, juices and teas. You can order drinks from the bar into your spa session.
Massage is based on the Jing Method, which the venue describes as advanced clinical massage. Sessions are either spa only, for groups, or spa plus massage. The site says a fuller website is launching soon, and most detail lives in the Square booking pages.
