What it's like
Float Spa moved to 125 Church Road in Hove in September 2024, into a 19th-century former bank. The infrared sauna is one part of a wider wellness centre that also does floatation tanks, yoga and massage.
There are two infrared cabins and every session is in your own private room, with its own shower. The venue says you can change the lighting colours with a remote, and connect your phone by Bluetooth to play music through speakers inside. Staff greet you with filtered water. Afterwards there is a "Dream Room" with herbal tea.
Prices are per room: £40 for 30 minutes, £50 for 45 and £65 for 60. The venue doesn't recommend 60 minutes for new users. It suggests starting at around 65°C and keeping first sessions to 30 minutes or less. Towels are provided. Its advice is to sit on a towel with nothing on, though the room is private so that is your call. Nothing is published about parking, age limits or walk-ins.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants an infrared session behind a closed door with a shower attached. The bundles and monthly memberships suit regulars, and there is a seven day programme of three floats plus three 30 minute sauna sessions for £182. It isn't a social sauna and has no cold side.

- Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 9pm, and Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays 8:30am to 6pm. It closes on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

- Monthly memberships start at two 30 minute sessions for £60 and go up to eight 60 minute sessions for £320. All sauna memberships have a three month minimum.
- A summer offer of a free hydration sachet with a 30 minute booking is still on the site. It is labelled "this summer" so it may have lapsed.
- Gift cards run from £50 to £1,000 and are valid for three months. They can't be used on special offers.
